Mural Evaluation Plan
Consultation has concluded
The City of Oshawa is currently accepting community feedback to help shape and inform a Mural Evaluation Plan related to the 15 murals located in downtown Oshawa, which were created under the impetus of the since-disbanded Downtown Action Committee from the mid-1990s to early 2000s.
The City has engaged consultants STEPS Public Art to review and analyze these murals. The Mural Evaluation Plan will complement the Public Art Policy and Public Art Master Plan created by the City in 2015 and 2018 and will include recommendations for the existing downtown murals.
Residents, community members and businesses have the opportunity to share their feedback on the existing murals and their hopes for public art in Oshawa by:
- completing a feedback form here on Connect Oshawa; or,
- on paper at Service Oshawa, located at City Hall (50 Centre St. S.).
The feedback will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and will be open until noon on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
