2019 City Budget

The City of Oshawa is preparing the 2019 City Budget and wants to hear from you! There are many opportunities to provide feedback and ask questions during Phase 1 (October 29 - November 26):

  • complete the 2019 Online Budget Tool (October 29 - November 26);
  • participate or listen in on the Telephone Town Hall (Thursday, November 15); or,
  • ask a question on Connect Oshawa.

Feedback received will be shared with City staff, Council and the public during the 2019 City budget process, which is expected to conclude in January 2019.

Telephone Town Hall

Discuss the budget with the City Manager, Jag Sharma and Commissioner of Finance, Stephanie Sinnott between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 15.

The Telephone Town Hall will provide community members the opportunity to ask questions about the budget process or simply listen in on the conversation.

Oshawa landlines will receive a call between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; those not wanting to miss a minute are encouraged to call in to 1-888-298-4542. Community members are encouraged to register their preferred contact number (landline or mobile) on Connect Oshawa before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13 to ensure they are not missed.

During the Telephone Town Hall, the City Manager and Finance Commissioner are able to speak to the City budget, services and programs and the budget process, but not services and programs provided by others levels of government.
