Consultation has concluded

The City of Oshawa is undertaking an extensive industry and public stakeholder consultation process to discuss Transportation Network Companies (T.N.C.), also known as ridesharing companies (e.g. Uber, RideCo, etc.), and their role within the city’s network of private transportation services, which include the regulated Taxicab and Designated Driving (D.D.) services industries.

In total, five consultation sessions addressed three stakeholder groups.

Industry and public stakeholders who were unable to attend a consultation session are invited to share their feedback here where they will find the presentations from the consultation sessions, stakeholder-specific surveys, frequently asked questions, as well as background information. The website also provides the opportunity for users to submit questions.

Feedback from the online and in-person opportunities will be received until Wednesday, August 16 and will be considered in the development of regulatory policy options that will be presented to Council in fall 2017.
