Legends Centre Pollinator Garden

Join us for the Legends Centre Pollinator Garden and Meadow Planting Event & Ceremony, a joint celebration event of the City of Oshawa, Tree Canada, Communities in Bloom and the Government of Canada.

Date: Saturday, September 23

Time: Event begins with a ceremony at 9:00 a.m. followed by a volunteer planting event from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Location: Legends Centre (1661 Harmony Road North), southeast of the main entrance and behind the branches of the library and seniors centre

Note: This event is rain or shine. Volunteer planters are reminded to wear closed toe shoes. Long pants and gardening/work gloves are recommended.

The Legends Centre Pollinator Garden and Meadow was created with assistance from CN EcoConnexions – From the Ground Up program, in partnership with Tree Canada and Communities in Bloom. Once complete, the garden will include walking paths, sitting areas, interpretive signage, and a variety of plant species that will provide food and habitat for a variety of pollinators including butterflies, birds, bats, moths and bees.
