We're Building a Diversity & Inclusion Plan - Have Your Say

The City of Oshawa is embarking on the development of its first Diversity and Inclusion Plan. The plan is being developed in collaboration with University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).

The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusion Plan is to identify recommended strategies and actions for the City to take over the next five to ten years to ensure all residents have equal access to employment opportunities, programs and services, as well as feel welcomed and involved within the community.

Beginning May 1, community members are invited to submit feedback. Online and in-person opportunities include:

  • Online survey from May 1 to June 2
  • In-person survey at Service Oshawa (50 Centre St. S.) from May 1 to June 2

Feedback will be received until Friday, June 2 and considered during the development of the first draft of the Diversity and Inclusion plan, which is anticipated for fall of 2017.

Further information on the review, including reports, presentations and other important items are available on the Diversity and Inclusion Plan webpage on the City’s website.
